“Live Redeemed” and Sarah’s Quote

Sarah had “Live Redeemed” written repeatedly in her journals and hand-lettered on a sticky note stuck on her laptop next to the keyboard. After her death, we thought it beautifully described the passion of her life and served as a clarion call to those of us who remain.

Sarah texted 1 Peter 1:23-25 to her cousin and friends in one of her last messages to them. She then shared her heart response to that passage in the beautiful quote featured on the backs of these shirts. Sarah’s sister, Katelyn, read the verses and Sarah’s quote at the press conference on the evening of the crash.

Press conference following the crash, June 8, 2017.

“For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. For, ‘All people are like grass,  and all their glory is like the flowers of the field;  the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.’” 1 Peter 1:23-25 [NIV]

“Earth Hath No Sorrow That Heaven Can’t Heal – Beth’s Hymn”

The front of these shirts features “Live Redeemed” from a hand-lettered sticky note on Sarah’s laptop. The back features a quote Sarah hand-lettered from her favorite book, Little Women, and a line from Beth March’s favorite hymn: “Earth hath no sorrow that Heaven can’t heal.”

“Where O Death is your sting? Where O Hell is your victory?”

The sting of separation death brings is deeply painful. But for those who believe in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, there is coming a day when death will be no more and we will boldly and joyfully proclaim, “DEATH IS SWALLOWED UP in victory. ‘O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR VICTORY? O DEATH, WHERE IS YOUR STING?’ The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:54-57

“My GRACE is sufficient for you for my POWER is made perfect in weakness”

Sarah hand-lettered this precious truth from 2 Corinthians 12:9 in her sketchbook. Praise God that whatever may befall us, His grace is sufficient to sustain and carry us, and His power is more perfectly displayed through our weakness.

“Be Joyful in Hope, Patient in Affliction, Faithful in Prayer”

Wear this as a beautiful reminder that as we cling to the hope set before us through Jesus Christ, the fruit of joy is produced in us through the power of the Holy Spirit and we are strengthened to be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12. Hand-lettered by Sarah in one of her journals.

“But He knows where I’m going & when He tests me I will come out as pure gold. Job 23:10”

Sarah had this verse on her Pinterest bio and hand-lettered it in her sketchbook. We’re so thankful for this certainty for her and hope for us.

“Above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it. Proverbs 4:23”

Another hand-lettered verse from Sarah’s sketchbook to encourage us to persevere well and Live Redeemed.
